Child Custody

's Profile Image

Individuals may deal with custody issues during a divorce, after a divorce, or as part of a relationship that may not have included marriage.  At Banas Family Law, we have the experience and know-how to handle and counsel families through any family disputes that involve the custody of children.  We know that nothing is as important to you as your children, and we will treat your case with the utmost sensitivity and respect in all custody matters.

Unmarried?

Many couples do not realize that a different set of laws apply to custody of children whose parents are not married.  It is in the best interests of your children for you to legally establish custody and paternity of your children, particularly for unmarried fathers, simply because paternity is not automatically established if you are not married.

We can advise you on the different types of custody which the court may award, including joint or sole physical or legal custody, and will walk with you every step of the way.
